Grayson Allen silenced the Bulls’ crowd

NBA – Already good in Game 3, the public enemy n°1 of Chicago did even better in Game 4, with 27 points.

Little disturbed by the booing of the Bulls fans during Game 3 since he had scored 22 points, Grayson Allen confirmed in the following game that the public of the United Center had no impact on his performance. Or maybe in a positive way.

Grayson Allen indeed finished with 27 points at 10/12 shooting and 6/7 at 3-pts. This is his new career record in the playoffs, which erases the old one, which dated from Game 3.

He is calm, but very confident,” said Mike Budenholzer for ESPN. “I think the group is like that, they see the player that can help. Allen is quiet, he doesn’t say anything, he comes to play. The guys like that mentality.”

The behavior of Bulls fans obviously comes from Grayson Allen’s regular season foul on Alex Caruso, who broke his wrist and missed several weeks of competition as a result of the incident. If Grayson Allen made the best two games of his career in the playoffs in hostile territory, he admits that being considered an enemy is not very pleasant.

“I’m not naturally comfortable with it. I’m at a point where no matter where I play, I remind myself to go out there and have fun. I don’t like the media attention, the booing. I don’t feed off of that. I’m not looking for that.”

“Maybe it needs to be booed more.”

Still, the Chicago air has done him good. To his credit, his teammates had prepared him. As soon as he got off the bus, went to the hotel and even during practices or video sessions, Giannis Antetokounmpo and his teammates booed Grayson Allen copiously.

“Honestly, it’s hilarious. They’re having so much fun doing this,” the Milwaukee guard commented. “They turned it into a funny thing. Afterwards, on the court, it’s a lot easier.”

While he only scored three small points total in two games in Milwaukee, Grayson Allen just compiled a 24.5 point average in Chicago. Shouldn’t we keep some pressure on him to keep him at that level for Game 5 in Wisconsin?

“He’s been incredible and maybe he needs to be booed even more,” laughs the Greek. “Maybe the Bucks fans will get into it… No, we don’t do that.”
